The info below is for the whole State of Maine -- The values are holding well still, just taking a bit longer to sell than even a year ago. This average here is 67 days on market from list date to closed/sold. Average "list price" to "sold price" ratio is 95.86% so Statewide the homes are selling at just under the list price which would be "100%" if a full price offer. Check out the break out of the Types of Financing used on the 879 SOLD listings!

Im deeply sorry for the Maine home owners who are not able to pay the ongoing increases in the property taxes here in Central Maine. Many towns/cities have experienced huge property tax increases. Bottom line of why......IMO...... is because the spending continues, adding more services, more personnel, verses cutting back on services to protect HOME OWNERSHIP.....instead it really reaching in to someone else's pocket, taking their hard earned money or social security check to keep GROWING government, funding more programs, more regulations, more social events, more website features, more building codes! More rules means needing to hire more personnel to ENFORCE those codes. Can we take a PAUSE on programs, spending, hiring government ee's, raises, pension plans? STOP destroying the peaceful sanctuary of home ownership......the stability home ownership provides is critical for quality of life. STOP the spending. If you made it this far in my "rant" -- please KNOW if you are trying to find ALL options to be able to STAY IN YOUR HOME, then call me. Im not looking for a LISTING.....I'm looking to do what licensed real estate agents are also sworn to do.....to "protect home ownership rights". Go to your TOWN or CITY budget meetings, town council meetings, speak nicely but loud ....not about demanding more programs or more services but about cutting back the spending, for municipal government to take a PAUSE.....let us all CATCH A BREATH. Welcome to the newest Forever Farm in our network – and join us in celebrating what's next for the Morris Farm! On April 10th, Chris and Terry Baldwin purchased the Morris Farm from Maine Farmland Trust and together, we protected the property with an agricultural conservation easement, securing the farming future of the iconic Wiscasset property forever. This outcome was backed by an outpouring of community support from many individuals and families, partner organizations, foundations, impact investors, and volunteers. Thank you to all who helped ensure this local landmark remains an agricultural resource in the community.

Along with their daughter and son-in-law Lindsay and Ryan Esbjerg, the Baldwins plan to establish The Commons at Morris Farm. Through a mix of traditional farming, innovative programs, and a growing retail platform, they envision the farm as a shared resource for the region. A central component will be the farmstand and retail platform, expanding market access for producers and strengthening community connection to local food.
