Selfishly… I almost didn’t post this one.

The Tin Lantern in Meadow Vista has quietly become one of my favorite date night spots. It’s small, intimate, and the kind of place where reservations are pretty much required (which is probably why I hesitated to share it 😅).

But if you’re looking for a cozy dinner spot with great cocktails and that perfect little “hidden gem” vibe… this is it.

One of my favorite parts about living in this area is that you’re surrounded by these tucked-away places that feel special every time you go.

In lower Auburn, it’s usually light and short-lived. Head up toward Grass Valley, Nevada City, or Colfax — and winter looks very different.
