Acorns are needed at Gold Country Wildlife Rescue

Post edit 10/24: We are out of storage room for acorns now. Thank you all for your deliveries!

Acorn Alert - Next time you are out on a walk, or in your yard, take a look around and see if you see acorns on the ground. We could use them!

We are going through a lot of them since the bears, raccoons, jays, and flying squirrels all enjoy them in their diets.

Gather your fresh acorns in a breathable bag or container, and bring them in to our Wildlife Intake Center as soon as possible.

Acorns should be delivered to:
11251 B Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603
We are open seven days a week from 8 am - 5 pm.

Pet adoption this weekend!

Don't forget! It's PetSmart National Adoption Weekend! Staff and volunteers will be on-site at PetSmart in Auburn from 10 am - 2 pm today with dogs and puppies available for adoption. We also have cats and kittens available all weekend for adoption as well. Adoption fee for adult dogs and cats/kittens is $50 and for puppies is $134. We can't wait to find forever homes for some of our special shelter pets this weekend!
