A 4 PM closing. A lunchtime trip to the Registry of Deeds. What could possibly go wrong? 😳😂
Let’s just say this seller made a last-minute decision that changed a whole lot more than he probably realized.
And here’s the scary part… we wouldn’t have known. Not until someone shows up with a cooler for a beach day on the new owner’s property. 🏖️
This is one of those real-life closing stories that reminds us exactly why title insurance matters! 🏡

Paid off your mortgage? Great! But is it actually gone? 👀🏡

You might be surprised how often an old mortgage can still show up in the land records, even years after it’s been paid off.

That’s where our title team comes in! 🔎

When we uncover a missing discharge, we work to get it resolved so it doesn’t become a last-minute obstacle to closing.

Because paying it off and clearing it from the land records are two different things!
