🏡 From Lake of the Pines home tours to country property inspections, today was a reminder of why I love calling the foothills home.

Whether you’re spending the day at the Main Beach in Lake of the Pines, cruising in your golf cart, playing pickleball, basketball, or golf, or enjoying a swim at the pool… there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy life here.

Or maybe your perfect day looks a little different, relaxing by your own private pool, surrounded by rolling pastures and watching your Highland cows graze.

And speaking of Highland cows… I got up close to one today for the first time. Let’s just say they’re a lot bigger in person! 😳 I felt pretty small standing next to that fluffy giant.

Fresh air. Less chaos. Great local restaurants. Amazing wineries. Craft breweries. Strong communities. It’s the lifestyle that makes Auburn, Grass Valley, and our surrounding foothill towns such special places to call home.

Spent yesterday touring beautiful properties from Grass Valley to Meadow Vista and Auburn while juggling negotiations, showings, and mom life. ❤️🏡

One thing buyers don’t always see is that when we’re touring homes, we’re looking at so much more than paint colors and floor plans.

We’re paying attention to:
✔️ Roof condition and remaining life
✔️ Decks, railings, and overall safety
✔️ Signs of visible moisture or drainage concerns
✔️ Fencing condition and property boundaries
✔️ Pool and spa maintenance and safety features
✔️ Exterior maintenance and deferred repairs
✔️ The overall care and pride of ownership

My job is to help my clients see both the possibilities and the potential expenses that may come with a property.

And somewhere between property tours, contract negotiations, school pickups, sports practices, and answering texts from clients, we make it all happen. 🤣

From dance floors to soccer fields ⚽️✨

She’s been training hard, wrapped up her first season of comp soccer and just made the fall team! Between dance and sports, it’s amazing to watch how it all connects, muscle memory, balance, footwork, discipline, agility, and grace all carrying over into the technical side of soccer.

As a mom, one of my favorite things is watching my girls find confidence through hard work, teamwork, and showing up even on the tired days. These seasons are busy, loud, exhausting, and somehow the sweetest all at once.

Keep working hard my love. I’ll always be cheering you on from the sidelines, sneaking in work calls between games, packing snacks in the car, and soaking up every minute of watching you grow. 🖤⚽️💃

Today we remember and honor the men and women who gave everything for our country and our freedom. As someone who works alongside so many military families and first responders, Memorial Day holds a special place in my heart.

I work before the sun comes up and after my kids are tucked into bed because so many of my clients work shift work… so I work shift work right alongside them.

I’ll answer the calls, texts, and “hey Sam, what does this mean?” messages because buying a home can feel exciting, stressful, overwhelming… sometimes all in the same hour 🤣

I’ve called Auburn home since 1996 and honestly, a huge part of my growing up happened within the gates of Lake of the Pines, riding bikes, beach days, walking from here to there with friends, and soaking up everything that makes this area special.
