Before moving to the US, Cherise was lucky and just crazy enough to work in film and video production for 17 years with corporate clients like Coca-Cola Company and creative talents like Rihanna. She also spent a couple of years anchoring the news and various live television broadcasts. At a bar on her native Caribbean island, she met her Canadian husband, who now refers to her as his favorite sou
venir. His job transferred the two to Houston in 2010, then to Chicago in 2011, and most recently to Augusta, where Cherise says they are loving this giant-hearted, small(ish) Southern town. Her hobbies include DIY-ing anything in her North Augusta home, (“Home Depot is sacred ground, y’all”), reading, learning, traveling, browsing antique and second-hand shops, and practicing her Southern drawl, not to mention she’s one of the most passionate real estate agents you’ll find! “It’s not work when you love what you do,” she says. Some of her favorite, must-visit spots are the Saturday Market in downtown Augusta, Craft and Vine, the antique stores in downtown Aiken, Aiken Brewing Company and Whisky Bar for those delicious 1916s.
