Mission: remove exterior trim to check for dry rot and water damage. I found zero flashing or waterproofing anywhere it should be or needed to be. The framing had also been shimmed out with plywood. Cut out and replace the damaged pieces, wrap it and seal it with Zip tape and Zip liquid flash, put it back together.
