A datum is a fixed horizontal reference plane used to measure heights and depths. Think of it as the starting pointprofessionals use to determine elevation.

You’ll see this term during:�• Land surveys�• Construction�• Flood-zone evaluations�• Property development

Why does it matter to you as a homebuyer? 👀
