🦟🚫 Attention Richmond County residents! The Richmond County Health Department will be out in full force with their truck-mounted ULV mosquito sprayers to combat the recent surge in mosquitoes post-Hurricane Helene. Starting today, we will be spraying entire streets and neighborhoods for maximum effectiveness. Remember to wear mosquito repellent and avoid being outside at dusk and dawn when these pesky bugs are most active. Psorophora mosquitoes have been causing a stir with their large size, so let's work together to eliminate breeding grounds by tipping and tossing any standing water around your homes. Let's keep our community buzzing-free! 🌿💧

We want to remind you that Augusta Rescue Mission offers free laundry services at our Fresh Start Laundry. Because so many people need to do laundry right now, the Mission has extended its laundry times to Monday through Friday, 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. If you or someone you know needs to come to Fresh Start Laundry, you can sign up at https://augustarescuemission.org/fresh-start-laundry/ for an appointment.

Beginning Wednesday, October 2, 8:30 am -6:30 pm the Municipal Building and Blythe Recreation Center will NOT serve as water distribution sites. For those without power and unable to boil water, or if you don’t have access to water, please visit one of the potable water sites below.
