My Kent Peeps!!! Please help and/or share ❤️❤️ Any help at all is appreciated ❤️❤️
Hi Longcoy Family!
We’re reaching out to support one of our own. A deeply valued member of our school community — someone who gives so much of her time volunteering, supporting our kids, and leading multiple LSA committee efforts — recently experienced a house fire, the day before Easter. 💔
Thankfully, everyone is safe. However, the fire severely impacted the upstairs of their home, and all four boys (ages 12, 11, 10, and 7) lost their bedrooms and nearly all of their belongings. The family will be displaced for at least the next 6 months.
They are currently staying in an extended stay hotel, which has been a big adjustment! Especially for the kids, who are navigating school while also processing such a sudden loss.
We’d love to rally around them and help bring a bit of comfort and normalcy during this time.
If you’re able to help, here are some items that would mean a lot:
• Books (for boys ages 7–12)
• Activity kits, puzzles, and enrichment items
• Art supplies (sketchbooks, markers, crayons, etc.)
• LEGO sets or building toys
• Small games suitable for a hotel setting
• Comfort items like stuffies and fuzzy blankets
They are also in need of gas gift cards, as their temporary housing is far from school and it’s costing about $50/day to get the boys back and forth.
