🚨 House Hunting in Chicagoland? You May Be Missing Listings. 🚨

If you’re searching for homes in the Chicagoland area, this is important to know:

Many listings from MRED (Midwest Real Estate Data — the MLS system used by most agents in Northern Illinois) may no longer appear on Zillow or Trulia because of an ongoing dispute between Zillow and the mls over listing display policies. That means buyers relying on only one website could be seeing an incomplete picture of what’s actually available.  

What does this mean for buyers and sellers?

🏡 Buyers: You could miss homes that fit your needs.

📈 Sellers: Your home may not be reaching buyers who search only on Zillow.

💡 The takeaway: In today’s market, it’s more important than ever to work with a local real estate professional and use multiple search tools to make sure you’re seeing the full market. Some brokerages also provide direct listing feeds that may still appear on Zillow, but inventory visibility can vary.  

The real estate world just got a little more “check three places instead of one.” Technology is great… until it decides to make things interesting.
