Our delightful Mad Hatter Tea was a whimsical afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, and plenty of charming surprises. Residents arrived wearing festive hats and enjoyed a lovely tea service complete with delicious treats and lively conversation. Adding a special touch to the event were the lovely hats created by Judy Smith, which beautifully decorated the tables and added to the enchanting Mad Hatter atmosphere. The wonderful music by Hassan provided the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Together, the creative decorations, delightful refreshments, and beautiful entertainment made for a truly memorable gathering that brought smiles to everyone in attendance.

Under the beautiful Colorado sky, we gathered to remember and honor the lives forever changed by 9/11. As we reflect on the 23 years since that tragic day, we pause to recognize the courage of the first responders, the resilience of our nation, and the countless heroes whose selfless actions continue to inspire us. Surrounded by friends and neighbors, we shared a moment of gratitude, remembrance, and unity, keeping the memories of those lost close to our hearts while honoring the enduring spirit that emerged from one of our country's darkest days.

The Veterans Breakfast was a wonderful morning filled with gratitude, fellowship, and delicious food. The beautiful Colorado sunshine streamed through the dining room windows, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as our veterans and their spouses gathered together.

Chef Jesus prepared a fantastic breakfast, filling the room with the comforting aroma of fresh, hot food and serving up a meal everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Laughter, stories, and camaraderie could be heard throughout the room as residents connected with one another and celebrated the service and sacrifices of our veterans.

It was a truly special way to start the day and honor those who have given so much.

We're excited to kick off the new Better Balance Challenge from Wellness Everywhere! Residents took the first step on this wellness journey yesterday by completing their pre-balance assessments with the help of our therapy partner, Kait from Legacy Therapies, giving everyone a great starting point to measure their progress.

Today, participants attended their very first balance class, Center of Gravity, where they learned techniques and exercises designed to improve stability, strength, and confidence in movement. The enthusiasm and determination shown by our residents has been wonderful to see, and we look forward to watching everyone grow stronger and steadier throughout the challenge!

Deborah from Doodles and Hues joined us once again for a wonderful live painting session, and residents had a fantastic time creating another beautiful masterpiece. With Deborah's patient guidance and encouragement, everyone enjoyed expressing their creativity while bringing the painting to life, one brushstroke at a time. The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and a sense of accomplishment as residents proudly completed their artwork. We always look forward to Deborah's visits and the opportunity to create, connect, and have fun together.

One of our beloved Koi fish recently became ill, so we moved her to a special quarantine tank where she could rest and receive extra care. We are happy to report that after some time and attention, she made a full recovery! Residents were excited to see her released back into the pond, where she happily rejoined her fellow Koi and returned to swimming in her familiar home. It was wonderful to see such a positive outcome for one of our pond's treasured residents.

Parkside Village residents recently gathered for a heartfelt going-away celebration honoring longtime resident Sally as she prepares for her move to another RLC community, Creek Valley Retirement Community in St. Louis.

Friends and neighbors came together to share memories, laughter, and well wishes as they celebrated the many years of friendships and connections Sally has made within our community. Residents enjoyed spending time together reminiscing about special moments and expressing how much Sally will be missed.

While it is never easy to say goodbye to a cherished friend, everyone was happy to know that Sally will continue her journey within the RLC family. We wish her all the best in her new home at Creek Valley and look forward to hearing about the wonderful new friendships and adventures that await her there ❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time attending 504: The Musical at the Denver Performing Arts Center, where they were especially excited to see one of their very favorites, Leonard Barrett, Jr, perform.

The show was filled with energy, talent, and memorable moments that kept everyone entertained from beginning to end. Seeing Leonard on stage made the experience even more special, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of excitement to the group. It was a fantastic outing that residents will be talking about for a long time, and we are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such an outstanding performance together.
