Responding to a call a day after a major storm, we inspected a property where water was leaking from a recessed light fixture. Upon initial arrival, the ceiling around the light appeared completely normal to the naked eye. However, inspection with a thermal imaging camera quickly exposed significant hidden water damage behind the surface.
We removed all compromised drywall and initiated a targeted structural drying process in accordance with ANSI/IICRC S500 standards to address elevated moisture readings in the framing. Once framing moisture content returned to baseline dry standards, we completed full reconstruction, restoring the space to its pre-loss condition—as if nothing ever happened.
