Wells Fargo just announced it will begin offering mortgages for ICON’s 3D-printed homes — including communities right here in the Austin area. Even more interesting? Buyers may qualify for a lender credit incentive as part of the program.

This is a major step toward making alternative construction more mainstream and could help improve affordability and housing inventory across Texas.

We’re already seeing innovation reshape the market in places like Georgetown, Mueller, and beyond. The question is no longer *if* 3D-printed homes are coming — it’s how quickly they’ll become part of everyday homeownership.

The Central Texas Housing Market is gaining momentum, according to data from the most recent Central Texas Housing Report from Unlock MLS:

- 2,648 – Residential homes sold, 2.0% more than April 2025.

- $440,000 – Median price for residential homes, 1.9% less than April 2025.

- 5,405 – New home listings on the market, 6.7% less than April 2025.

- 11,592 – Active home listings on the market, 15.0% less than April 2025.

- 3,411 – Pending sales, 15.4% more than April 2025.

- 4.7 – Months of inventory, 0.6 less than April 2025.

- $1,554,376,535 – Total dollar volume of homes sold, 2.4% more than April 2025.

The "2026 Sate of Wire Fraud" report states that cybercrime in real estate has reached "epidemic" levels.

This is when vigilance becomes more than just signing a notice. Working with your title team and your trusted REALTOR® can help you protect your funds.

One way to ensure you're sending funds to a trusted source is to get on the phone with the title company to confirm the instructions and the source are legit. Also, start getting in contact with your title team early! As soon as your REALTOR® makes the introduction to your title team on your transaction, feel free to call them, hear their voice to ensure the person on the other end is truly a part of your team. Always check email addresses and email originators back to the original contact information you received for your team.

Scammers are taking advantage of the physical distance that technology has created between us. We can close that distance by talking to eachother to ensure that an email is sent by someone we really work with.
