You know it’s fun to live in Austin, Texas. I have always said that here you can become part of the cultural fabric simply by volunteering, sharing ideas, and helping others be all they can be.
People tell me all the time that I know everyone. If that is true, it is really because we all know each other. Austin has a beautiful way of making the world feel smaller like that. ◡̈
As we prepare for the American Heart Association Heart Ball on May 2, I have been reminded again how remarkable this community truly is.
To the many friends who have already stepped forward in support, thank you. A special thank you to my artist friends contributing to 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, and to the remarkable chefs who continue to create extraordinary culinary experiences for our Live Auction.
Many of you have already said yes, and to those I have spoken with along the way, you know who you are. I am deeply grateful.
This year I have the honor of chairing the auction alongside a wonderful committee. For many of us, including my own family, heart disease has touched our lives. That makes this work especially meaningful.
If you have ever considered contributing a silent auction item or creating a one of a kind experience, I would love to hear your ideas. Whether it is art, a culinary evening, a special place, or something entirely your own, Austin has a beautiful way of turning creativity into meaningful impact for the American Heart Association right here in our community.
We are shaping what promises to be an extraordinary evening, and thanks to culture builders like you, I know this will be the best Heart Ball yet. ❤️
And if this sparks an idea, my phone is always on ◡̈
Because where you give shapes how we live, and how we love❣️
