The best part of moving during the holidays?

Opening boxes can feel a lot like opening presents! Especially if you don’t remember what you packed in each one! 😂 If you do plan on moving apartments throughout the holiday season, here are a few tips from us to you.

✅ Plan your move ahead of time: As soon as you decide to make the switch, begin planning everything you’ll need to do between now and then. Find boxes, hire movers, and change your mailing address are just a few things you’ll need on your checklist.
✅ Put a few holiday decor items in your ‘open first’ box: To help keep the spirit of the season alive, add a few non-essential decor items in your ‘opens first’ box. This should contain all the things you’ll need on that first night in your new home, plus a few extras.
✅ Start saving. Now: Once you’ve determined to move to a new apartment, begin creating your budget. Factor in security deposit, first month’s rent, presents, and more. Stick to your budget as closely as possible so you don’t have any unnecessary surprises occur!

I’ll “tile” you what, you’re going to love this!

One incredible feature of every bathroom at The Markson is the tile surround shower. Beautiful tiles wrap around the entire space to provide a spa-like experience every time you are in there. We’ve opted for neutral colors to help open the area and encourage relaxation.

You’ll be a pro at packing after you try this tip!

When you’re getting ready to move, focus on packing up one room at a time. Go through the room slowly and separate everything into keep, trash, and donate piles. This will prevent you from overpacking and moving items that will not serve you in your new space. Additionally, you won’t feel as stressed or overwhelmed during the process!
