Making an offering: A note about Moore-Tate and giving this year.
Given the strain of 2020, we have all witnessed great need all around us during this period of more human and job loss than any other in our lifetimes. Our hearts and reliable statistics tell us that food insecurity and the lack of housing and childcare make women and children the hardest hit among us.
And so, we have doubled our Moore-Tate offering to $15,000 to do a bit more to help women and children. While modest contributions made during this year went to many trusted non-profit organizations also doing good work, our year-end philanthropy is directed to local women and children facing the hardest of times.
With great confidence in the stewardship of the Women’s Fund of Austin Community Foundation and Women United of our local United Way, we know that our philanthropy is both multiplied and wisely used for local women and children who most need support.
Our gratitude goes to the 200-plus workers and vendors whose crafts build each Moore-Tate home. And, certainly we give thanks to the families who buy them. Without them all during this year, our strongest to date, we would be unable to share $30,000 in charitable giving. From the bottom of a hearts and a deep bow, bless you and thank you one and all.
Onward,
Dawn Moore and Kerry Tate
