It takes time, talent, and patience to create a masterpiece! Laurie and Garland Watson in collaboration with Melissa Trueheart, builder's sales, construction supervisor, Ross Prichard, and Perry Homes did a magnificient job of building their new home in La Cima, San Marcos. The big day finally arrived and everyone was in a celebratory mood. I am forever grateful for the new friendship with the Watsons and the great work of Perry Homes and their team. Building from the ground up is no easy feat, but with the efforts of "the village", mission accomplished!

An important reminder to protest your property tax before May 15th!

If your appraised value went up, you might consider hiring a professional like Texas Protax, Five Stone Tax or O'Connor Associates to help you protest your taxes. They only charge a percentage of the money you save and are experts at dealing with the County Tax Assessors.

If you would prefer to protest your taxes on your own, you can use our Home Valuation Tool to get a rough estimate of your home's current market value and recent nearby sales.

Reach out if you would like help finding recent sales to support your tax protest hearing. In most cases, you have until May 15 or 30 days from the date the appraisal district notice is delivered - whichever date is later.

Sometimes it takes a village and it did and we did! Pictured with me is Marlene Eskin and "her crew" of fabulous friends! When I listed Marlene's home on Emerald Forest, Carole Barasch, Gerald and Debbie Tucker rallied to help with Marlene's transition into her new community by making her home "show ready"! In 9 days we had a wonderful buyer who, with Cristine's architect daughter, is taking Marlene's home into its new incarnation.
So much joy and so much love from all of these remarkable people who are now my new best friends! I am blessed to have shared in this adventure and am so grateful for Carole's kudos.
