Labor Day weekend in Austin, but make it local. ☀️🤘

Whether you’re planning around the kids or finally getting a kid-free afternoon, there’s no reason to waste the long weekend wondering what to do.

From Bat Fest and Barton Springs to COTA, paddleboarding, pool days, yoga and Austin FC, I pulled together some of my favorite ways to make the most of the weekend around town.

A few local rules for September in Austin:

• Start early
• Stay close to water
• Save sunset for something good
• And always leave room for tacos + patio drinks

Austin’s live entertainment scene continues to grow, with a major new venue planned as part of the River Park development. United Heritage Hall is expected to open in spring 2027 with space for up to 4,000 guests.

A few details that caught my attention:

🎵 Live music: The venue will host touring artists, emerging talent, and Austin musicians.

✨ Designed for the experience: Plans include premium hospitality, VIP seating, luxury suites, and state of the art sound and lighting.

🏙️ Part of a bigger development: United Heritage Hall will anchor the 109 acre River Park mixed use project.

📍 East Austin: The venue will be near East Riverside Drive and Crossing Place, just minutes from downtown and Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

Austin already has an incredible live entertainment scene, so I’m curious to see what this new venue adds to it. Opening details and the first performances will be announced later.

Another fun addition is coming to South Austin! 👀🥃

Still Austin Whiskey Co. is expanding with Still Austin Quarter, a new 15,000 square foot hospitality and entertainment destination in the St. Elmo Arts District. And this sounds like one worth checking out.

Here’s what’s planned:
🎶 Live music Thursday through Saturday
🍸 Craft cocktails featuring Still Austin spirits
🎧 Nightly DJs in the Vinyl Lounge
🌿 Indoor and outdoor space for up to 500 guests
🍽️ A food menu designed to complement the cocktail program
🎤 A dedicated Music Room designed for intimate performances

The new venue is expected to open in September 2026 at 4211 Willow Springs Road, adding another destination to South Austin’s growing St. Elmo area.

Austin certainly knows how to combine good drinks, good music, and a good time. Who wants to check this one out when it opens?

$42.9 MILLION. One car. One unforgettable story. 🏁

This 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe just made history at Pebble Beach, selling for $42.905 million at Gooding Christie’s and becoming the most valuable American car ever sold at auction.

But the part I’ll remember most had nothing to do with the price.

We had the incredible opportunity to sit with legendary Shelby driver Allen Grant, hear his stories firsthand, and watch him reunite with the very car he raced during Shelby American’s historic 1965 World Championship season.

It was emotional. It was full circle. And it was one of those rare moments where you realize you’re sitting in the presence of living history.

Then we watched that history make history again.

This is what makes this work so meaningful to me. It is not the number of homes sold or the transactions that make a year feel successful. It is knowing that someone felt supported, heard, and genuinely cared for during such an important time in their life.

The messages, reviews, and kind words people take the time to send me are the things I save and come back to. And when another agent tells me I helped make the process easier, that means a great deal too.
