Change isn't the enemy.

Resisting it is.

During the financial crisis,
I watched colleagues pack boxes around me.
Each time I thought: "Thank God it's not me."

Then it was my turn.
And again.
Two layoffs in six months.

My brain screamed: "You're done. This is the end."

I believed the myth most of us believe:

Change is bad.
Uncertainty means failure.
If you don't know what's next, assume the worst.

But here's what I didn't understand back then -

Change is only ever moving you forward.

Not in a woo-woo, toxic positivity way.
In a practical, real-world way.

When something stops working,
it's not punishment - it's redirection.

Growth doesn't move backwards.
It only builds forward.

Those layoffs?
They cleared the path for the peak of my career.

A role I never would have found if life had let me play it safe.

The myth keeps us stuck:
→ Change you didn't choose = disaster
→ Same job that drains you = safe
→ Not knowing the future = bad

The truth sets you free:
→ Closed doors reveal better ones
→ The unknown is where growth lives
→ Discomfort is intelligence, not disaster

This isn't about pretending hard things aren't hard.

It's about having a roadmap to keep moving
instead of staying stuck in fear.

Things always work out.
Not because "life is fair."

Because growth only moves one direction: forward.

Trust the process. Keep going.
The path reveals itself to those still walking.

📌 What If Problems Are Permanent?

We spend a lot of time waiting for problems to disappear.
As if life will eventually become smooth, stable, and predictable.

It doesn’t.

Some problems don’t go away.
They stay.

The work pressure.
The uncertainty.
The responsibility.
The expectations.

What changes is not the problem.
What changes is you.

Over time, you grow around what once blocked you.
Your skills expand.
Your perspective widens.
Your tolerance strengthens.

The obstacle that once stopped you
becomes something you simply navigate.

Growth isn’t about clearing the path.
It’s about becoming strong enough to walk it anyway.

In business and in life, this matters.

If you keep waiting for a phase with fewer problems,
you’ll stay stuck.

If you focus on growing,
the same problems lose their power over you.

They don’t disappear.
They just stop defining you.

And that’s real progress.

Leaders are like Wi-Fi. Good ones connect & empower.
Toxic ones leave you frustrated and unproductive.

Think about your best leader.
Remember how they made you feel?

Motivated. Inspired. Ready to take on the world.

Now think about your worst.
That pit in your stomach. The dread of going to work.

The difference is night and day.

Great leaders:
• Have your back when things go wrong
• Push you to grow, not to break
• Listen more than they speak
• Celebrate your wins

They're the ones who:
↳ Help you see your potential
↳ Make you believe in yourself
↳ Create a team that feels like home

Bad leaders?

They do the opposite:
• Take credit for your work
• Micromanage every little thing
• Play favorites and create drama
• Blame you when things go south

Working for them feels like:
↳ Losing your passion for what you do
↳ Never being good enough
↳ Walking on eggshells

Here's the thing:
Leadership isn't about titles or corner offices.
It's about how you make people feel.

Do you lift them up or tear them down?
Do you inspire or intimidate?

Leaders, remember:
Your team's success is your legacy.
Their growth is your real achievement.

So, ask yourself:
Are you the Wi-Fi that connects and empowers?
Or the one that leaves everyone disconnected?

The choice is yours.
But your team is counting on you to get it right.

Here's the reality: 99% of people's feedback doesn't matter.

Throughout my career, I learned to filter.

Only a few critiques are worth holding onto.

Here's how I do it:

Does the person truly understand my path?
Would I seek their counsel in a crisis?
Have they achieved significant success themselves?

If the answer is no, their opinion probably isn’t worth your time.

Focus on what drives your growth.
Build value.
Let the rest slide.

27 harsh truths about success & life:

1. Most successful people aren't that smart. They move fast, they take risk, they work a lot. That's it.

2. You want to get rich... Build relationships with people who understand the game.

3. You can't be upset at the results you’re not getting from the actions you’re not taking.

4. C students run companies. A students work for them. Dropouts run the rest of the world.

5. You can get rich doing almost anything.

6. Success demands solitude.

7. Working smarter not harder is a beautiful lie. You will not know how to work smart until you've worked very hard for an irrationally long time.

8. You win by being okay with people not liking you, disagreeing with you, and wishing you'd fail.

9. The person with more money than you, moves faster than you.

10. You wanna get paid like a pro, dress like a pro.

11. If you want to make more money, be more useful, to people who have more money.

12. The more skilled you are, the more responsibility you carry.

13. You will be judged no matter what you do, so you might as well do life your way.

14. The successful don't wait for someone to come save them. You want a better life, go build it.

15. You only have to be right ONCE. One big right move can erase a lifetime of wrong ones.

16. The secret to success, keep grinding until you can't be ignored.

17. What we call overwhelm is often just a lack of prioritization.

18. The world is not against you. The world is indifferent to you. You'll be forgotten almost immediately, find freedom in that.

19. Being rich is awesome. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

20. Unpopular take: Making money isn't as hard as people want you to believe.

21. Amateurs want to do what they love. Pros learn to love what it takes.

22. How much money you make is directly tied to how much rejection you're willing to take.

23. Reject the idea that to win you have to be a jerk.

24. People will be offended by your commitment to your goals and they’ll be offended by your happiness.

25. You, alone, with no distractions is where all the money is made.

26. Your new self will cost you your old self.

27. Remember once you get there: Everyone will want what you have, very few are willing to do what you did to get it.

Just some observations & notes to self.

RIP to the opportunities we've buried alive with self-doubt.
Your mind is lying to you, and you're buying every word.

Here's what I learned:
Self-esteem is 100% self-generated.
It starts and ends with YOU.

Picture this: An amazing opportunity lands in your lap.
What's your first thought?

If you're like most, you convince yourself you don't deserve it:
• "Someone else has more experience."
• "Others are more motivated."
• "They must be looking for someone smarter."

But here's where most advice falls short:
They skip the crucial first step.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: Become the observer of your thoughts.

This is where self-doubt loses its grip and true transformation begins.
Your roadmap to unshakeable self-esteem:

𝟭. 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
Meditate daily.
Empty your mind.
Become the watcher of your thoughts.
Feel how they affect you emotionally.
This is your superpower.

𝟮. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
When self-doubt creeps in, ask:
• Is this thought really true?
• Can I be absolutely certain?
• Who would I be without this thought?

𝟯. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵
Now that you've created distance from your thoughts
you are able to own your worth.
You're a rare gem in the world.

𝟰. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀
See yourself winning. Let this vision fuel your actions.

𝟱. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻
Acknowledge every win, big or small. Use them as rocket fuel for your next conquest. Use them to fuel step 4.

And keep remembering: It's just a thought. Is it serving you or holding you back?

Don't let your life become a graveyard of missed opportunities.

Your thoughts don't define you. You define you.

Being successful isn’t just what you know.

It’s how you show up.

1. Raise the energy of the room

Being a positive force is rare. Whether it's a meeting or a casual chat, your energy can uplift everyone. People remember how you make them feel.

2. Be enjoyable to work with

Skills are important, but so is being likable. Teamwork thrives on good relationships. People want to work with those they enjoy being around.

3. Keep your commitments

Reliability is also rare. When you say you'll do something, do it. Trust is built on consistency.

4. Lead regardless of title

Leadership isn't about a title. It's about action. Take initiative. Help others. Make decisions when needed. True leaders inspire and guide, no matter their position.

These skills might seem basic, but they're powerful.

Few master all four.

Aim to be in the 1% who do.

And it will set you apart in your career.

It is our choice to take a step back and decide for a different perspective. These choices define our future.

Shifting our perspective to a broader and more positive one is a choice.

Here are seven steps that help you bring that choice to life:

1/ Practice Gratitude:
Start each day by listing three things you’re grateful for. This helps you focus on the good in your life.

2/ Reframe Negative Thoughts:
When you catch yourself thinking negatively, try to reframe those thoughts into something more positive or constructive.

3/ Surround Yourself with Positivity:
Spend time with positive people who uplift and inspire you. Their energy can be contagious.

4/ Engage in Positive Self-Talk:
Replace self-criticism with affirmations and encouraging words. Be your own cheerleader.

5/ Reflect and Journal:
Taking time to reflect on your experiences and writing them down can help reveal patterns in your thinking and feeling that help you understand yourself better.

6/ Seek New Experiences:
Trying new things can provide fresh perspectives and help you see the world in different ways.

7/ Help Others:
Acts of kindness and helping others can boost your mood and provide a sense of purpose.

Remember: the way we perceive a challenge is a choice we make. And it is on us to be self-aware enough to understand when our choices from the past don't do us any good. Make the choice to shift!

our job title doesn't define your value.

Your value can change depending on your surroundings.

I've seen many skilled people struggle in the wrong job but excel when they find the right fit.

It’s all about how you show your value.

Here’s how to discover your worth no matter where you are:

1. Understand Your Environment

↳ Your skills and talents are valuable, but the right environment can amplify them.

↳ Don't let a poor fit make you question your abilities.

2. Find Supportive Spaces

↳ Surround yourself with people who appreciate what you bring to the table.

↳ A positive environment can boost your confidence and performance.

3. Don't Hesitate to Move On

↳ If you are undervalued, it might be time to seek a new opportunity.

↳ Your worth is too high to stay in a situation that doesn't recognize it.

4. Invest in Yourself

↳ Keep learning and growing to enhance your value.

↳ The more you develop your skills, the more you can demand in any setting.

5. Speak Up for Your Value

↳ Don't wait for others to notice your worth; advocate for yourself.

↳ Your voice matters—use it to share what you contribute.

6. Celebrate Your Uniqueness

↳ Your individuality is your strength. Don't hide it.

↳ The right place will celebrate what makes you different.

7. Remember Your Value is Relative

↳ Just because someone doesn't see your worth doesn't mean it isn't there.

↳ Keep looking for the right audience that appreciates you.

As Kobi Simmons says, you can find your value anywhere, but it’s up to you to recognize it.

Your value grows as you do. The right place brings out your best.

What value can you offer today? 💬

P.S. Employers, please pay your employees what they’re worth.

The best time for a promotion is before they give in their notice.
