Fingers crossed that the Boil Water notice ends today. Austin Water started testing samples yesterday, and results should be in today. In the meantime, if you need to use tap water for drinking or cooking, please boil it for 2 minutes before using. Barrett's coffee just down the street is still filling up containers, but make sure to support their generosity by getting coffee or snacks there too!

Mandatory Conservation Measures Lifted, Boil Water Notice Still In Effect Austin Water is collecting water samples throughout our system - Step 3 of 5 needed to lift the boil water notice. Customers should boil tap water vigorously for at least two minutes prior to using it for drinking or cooking.....

Please be advised that the boil water advisory for Austin is expected to be in effect through Tomorrow. Please boil for at least 2 minutes any water before your drink or cook with it. In the meantime, Barrett's Coffee down the street will fill up containers of water for the public. Their filtration systems are top notch, and we encourage residents to send them some love too by buying coffee and snacks if you go to fill up your containers there.

We know you're wondering when the Boil Water Notice will end. Here are the steps that are involved with lifting the notice. We're hoping to check them all off by end of day Tuesday.
