Are you ready for some COLD weather?

Please start preparing yourself and your home now. Here's the latest from US National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio Texas: Strong cold front expected Sunday, hard Freezes Monday-Wednesday, slight chance of freezing drizzle Sunday night into Monday morning. A strong cold front with arctic air will move into South Central Texas on Sunday. Strong north winds and cold temperatures will result in blustery conditions New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. There is a slight chance that freezing drizzle could develop behind the cold front New Year's Eve night into New Year's Day morning. Accumulation amounts IF the freezing drizzle were to occur appear to be light, and likely limited to typical elevated structures such as bridges and overpasses. Chances in the freezing drizzle occurring is currently low.
Also, hard freezes are expected to occur across portions of the area Monday through Wednesday mornings of next week.

Pacesetter ❤️s Port Arthur! The stories of the people we've helped have touched our hearts. If you'd like to give back to the community this season, we are looking for donations of material. One flooring company has already donated vinyl or laminate (thank you, FLOHR !) but we still need carpet and padding. We also need building supplies...Sheetrock, lumber, etc.
If you know anyone with a carpet supply or building supply company that would consider donating, we can give them a tax receipt. Also we need anyone skilled with laying carpet and hanging sheetrock to join us. We have lodging and meals set up and are going Dec 12-14. Thank you for passing this along! Let’s get Louverta HOME for the holidays!!

This is the home of a woman named Louverta who lives in Port Arthur. She’s lived here for 50 years & raised 5 kids here. It was flooded and a team from Pacesetter went in October to help muck it out and spray it for mold. As a Christmas gift to Louverta we’d like to go back and start the rebuilding process, beginning with walls and floors. We could use your help!
