Summer is right around the corner, and you can feel the shift starting to happen.

People are adjusting their routines, getting outside earlier, coming back out later, and making the most of the parts of the day that feel the best.

Evenings tend to draw people back out into the community, neighbors catching up, conversations picking up, and a steady sense of life happening all around.

Itโ€™s a time of year where everything still feels active, just in a way that works with the season.

The first thing people ask when they walk into a tiny home is usually about the size. The second thing, almost always, is where everything came from.

Because once you live in 399 square feet, every choice matters. The print on the wall isn't filler, it's something you actually love. The shelf isn't decoration, it's holding the books you actually read. The chair by the window is the chair you actually sit in. There's no room for the in-between, and that turns out to be the gift of it.

Our residents have made these homes their own in ways we never could have planned. A reading nook tucked into a loft. Herbs growing on a windowsill from the community garden. Linen curtains, a record player, a wall of family photos that tells a whole story in one glance. Small spaces, fully lived in.

A tiny home isn't a smaller version of a regular home. It's a more honest one.

The ATX TV Festival takes over downtown Austin from May 28 to 31, four days of premieres, panels, and conversations with the writers, showrunners, and actors behind the series you've been watching for years. It's part film festival, part reunion, part insider look at how television actually gets made.

A few things worth knowing before you go:
๐Ÿ“บ Premieres and exclusive first looks at upcoming shows
๐ŸŽค Q&As and panels with cast and creators you recognize
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Venues spread across downtown, plan your day around the schedule

Smart casual works. Comfortable shoes work better. And if you find yourself driving home east after a long day downtown, the farm is quiet, the porch lights are on, and Saturday's market opens early.

One of the things that stands out at Village Farm is how people pay attention, to each other, to the land, and even to the animals.

The fundraiser for Goldy is one of those quiet examples of that.
No oneโ€™s making a big deal out of it. People just step in, donate when they can, and keep things going.

Itโ€™s small, but it says a lot about the kind of place this is.

Village Farm feels fully in motion.

The days are longer, the farm is active, and you can feel how much is happening just by walking through the property. People are outside more, stopping to talk, checking in on the garden, and making plans for the evening.

Itโ€™s that point in the season where everything feels established, routines are set, familiar faces are everywhere, and the community really starts to feel connected.

Itโ€™s a good day to be here.

There are food festivals, and then there's Hot Luck.

For four days every May, some of the best chefs in the country quietly take over Austin to cook outside, swap recipes, and feed thousands of people who care as much about where their food comes from as how it tastes. It's loud, it's smoky, it's communal, and it feels exactly like the Austin we love.

If you've spent a Saturday morning at our farmers market, you already understand the spirit of Hot Luck. Real food. Real people behind it. A city that shows up for both.

A few things to know before you go:
๐Ÿ”ฅ Sample bites from chefs you'd usually have to travel to eat from
๐ŸŽถ Catch live music between courses
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Plan your route, the festival moves between venues across town

Wear something you can walk in. Bring a friend who appreciates a good meal. And if you head back toward the east side after, the farm's only ten minutes away.

If youโ€™ve been curious about what it actually feels like to live in a tiny home, walking through the Tumbleweed model with Joe is a good place to start.

The Tumbleweed has a different feel to it, cozy, practical, and thoughtfully laid out in a way that makes the most of every inch without feeling cramped.

You start to notice the small details as you move through it, the way the space flows, how light fills the room, and how everything has a purpose.

Itโ€™s one of those tours where you walk out with a much clearer picture of what life here could actually look like.

Every week, the farmers market comes alive right here on the farm, the same ground where so much of the food is actually grown. Residents and visitors start strolling over around 9, some with a list, some just curious to see what's fresh that week.

You'll find seasonal produce, flowers, and local goods, all while bumping into familiar faces, catching up with neighbors, or meeting someone new for the first time.

There's no rush, no crowds, just a steady, easy flow of people taking their time and enjoying the morning. For most of our residents, it's become the kind of weekend tradition that doesn't need a reminder on the calendar. It just happens.

Come see what Saturday mornings look like when your neighborhood has a farm at the center of it all.

What's it really like to live at Village Farm Austin? Suzanne will tell you.

In her own words, she shares how the move to Village Farm was more than just a change of address. It was a shift in pace. Days feel a little less rushed, neighbors become familiar faces fast, and before you know it, the farm becomes a natural part of your everyday rhythm.

If you've been curious about life in our agrihood community, Suzanne's story is one of the most honest looks you'll find. Give it a watch and see what tiny home living is really all about.
