Austin is not one housing market.
A headline might say “Austin home prices are down” or “inventory is up,” but that doesn’t tell you what’s happening in your neighborhood.
Tarrytown can behave differently than Shoalmont. Downtown condos can move differently than homes in Circle C. Even two neighborhoods a few miles apart can have completely different inventory, demand, and pricing.
Real estate is hyperlocal.
So whether you’re buying or selling, don’t make a decision based on the Austin market. Make it based on your market, your price point, and your goals.
That’s where the real story is.
