One of my favorite parts about Austin is the people behind the places 🤍

I recently spent some time learning about , and their story really stayed with me.

The founder, Nina, didn’t start out in retail. She was a social worker who wasn’t fully sure what her next chapter would look like. Through a lot of self-discovery and following what felt meaningful, she built something that feels incredibly intentional and personal.
And you can feel that the moment you walk into the shop. ✨

Take Heart is full of thoughtfully curated, handmade pieces from local and international artists, the kind of place where every item feels chosen with care, not simply stocked on a shelf.

It’s also a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to look one specific way, and that sometimes the best things come from following something you don’t fully have figured out yet.

If you’re in East Austin, this one is worth a visit.

Things I pay attention to during a showing 👀🏡

When I’m walking through a home with clients, we’re not just considering how a house feels in the moment, but also how it will “live” long-term for their lifestyle and finances.

A few of the major structural and mechanical systems I like to discuss include:
🏠 Roof Condition – Looking for visible signs of aging or wear so you can understand potential maintenance timelines and future expenses.
🧱 Foundation Movement – Watching for cracks, uneven areas, or sticking doors that might require further investigation.
❄️ HVAC + Water Heater Age – Checking the major systems for expected lifespan, energy efficiency, and replacement costs.
🪟 Window Quality – Noticing fogging, damaged seals, or visible wear that can impact comfort and energy bills.
🔨 Renovation Integrity – Distinguishing between thoughtful, quality craftsmanship and fast, cosmetic updates.

🎨 One of the things I love most about Austin is the incredible creativity thriving in every corner of our city. I love supporting local talent, and this week, I want to give a special shout-out to artist for her upcoming exhibition, Finding the Substance.

🌸 My heart is feeling very full after this year’s 🥂 Bubbles & Blooms 🌺 Client Appreciation Event.

This past weekend, I had the joy of hosting so many incredible clients at La Mancha Tex Mex for a morning centered around flowers, connection, and meaningful time together. With the beautiful flower truck from Burlap and Twine, we spent the morning enjoying brunch, creating custom bouquets, catching up over breakfast tacos, and soaking in such a beautiful spring day together. 🤍

🪻One of my favorite parts of the event was watching moms and daughters enjoy the morning together, little ones excitedly showing off their face paint and flowers, and friends and families simply slowing down long enough to savor time with one another.

🌼 As I reflect back on the day, I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the people who have trusted me to walk alongside them through the home buying and selling process, and by those who have so thoughtfully shared my name with the people they care about. Your trust and support are what continue to keep my business blooming, and it’s something I never take for granted.

🌷 Events like this are such a reminder that real estate, for me, has always been about relationships, trust, community, and caring for people long after closing day.

💐 Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being part of your lives and some of your biggest milestones. I’m so grateful for each of you.

🪻Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Today I’m feeling especially grateful for the women in my life who have modeled strength through care, attentiveness, resilience, and presence.

🌼 This photo was taken while celebrating my grandmother’s 100th birthday in April - truly to make it to triple digits! It was such a meaningful moment to experience together and one I know I’ll hold close to my heart for the rest of my life.

🌸 I’m deeply thankful for the memories, support, and example the women in my family have given me over the years. Their care has shaped not only how I move through life personally, but also how I strive to show up for others and my community.

💐 To all the many forms of “Mom” out there - Happy Mother’s Day!

🎶 Austin is more than just a place to live - it’s a feeling ✨

Still riding the high from this night. A friend won tickets to a live taping at Moody Theater for Austin City Limits Live, and I happily claimed my role as the plus one 💃🏽

We’ve loved Carlos Vives since our college days, back when we were dancing together and his music was part of the soundtrack. Hearing La Bicicleta 🚲 live felt like a total full-circle moment in the best way.

Getting to experience the venue through her eyes for her first time there made the night even better 🫶🏼

One of the things I love most about Austin is how nights like this happen here. Incredible music, good people, and moments that somehow feel both nostalgic and brand new at the same time 🌆

✨ Before and After

Seeing this shower transformation come to life was such a highlight.

My background in architecture shapes how I approach every space. I look beyond what is currently there to uncover what a home can become, always with the end buyer in mind.

For this project, every detail was selected to create a cohesive, refined finish that would resonate in today’s market. That level of intention is what helps a home stand out and positions it well for the market.

It is about thoughtful preparation and a clear strategy from the start.
