This is the sad state of affairs in the Austin area. We're in a double whammy: rising housing costs and rising interest rates. But, because of the rising interest rates affecting so many people who cannot afford prices, prices are beginning to come down. Let's hope the Fed has satisfied itself that the mortgage rates are high enough!

I am a college-educated, professional woman who, as a teacher, cannot afford housing set aside specifically for teachers. How is this possible?
