I fell in LOVE with Austin when i was 12 and my aunt took me out to see a bunch of bands one night. I’ve lived in austin for 20 years and I moved here for the music. I love all the creativity in this city, it’s a wonderful place to live and

a great place to raise my two kids. One of my fave things to do is go see live music, I love discovering new bands and songwriters. The music community here is my realm, both as a fan and as a friend. I also love all the art that’s being made here, crafty stuff, fine art, film, hair stylists…anything creative and inspiring and beautiful! There are so many awesome events around town, and even better are FREE ones, and ones to take kids to, be it music, or art or a 5K/kids K, anything. I love how austinites partake of our beautiful city. I love being a Realtor here because I love the city so much and the people here. It’s so fun discovering new neighborhoods I didn’t know before, or introducing a favorite area to someone, or showing someone that there is the right house for them. It’s a thrill finding that perfect match. I know this town, nightlife, food, shopping, schools, kid things, resources, neighborhoods…and if I don’t it’s my pleasure to learn something new

A lot to love about my new listing in Shady Hollow

Today was a good day. This is my old good friend Ricky Broussard. I started going to see his band 2 Hoots & a Holler when I was 20 years old every Monday at the Black Cat Lounge - that was 38 yrs ago.
Like everyone else that walked in there, it was instant love and instant mind blown. A mix of punk rock, country, rockabilly, surf and Cajun, we danced our faces off and drank beer way into the night, way past 2 AM.
Today was the best family reunion of all time, a benefit for Rick who recently had a stroke, but he worked really really hard to play two sets today at C-Boys, probably the last live shows he’ll play.
Everybody showed up, lots of other musicians showed up and paid tribute, including my wonderful and cool ex-husband Tony Scalzo and his Fastball partner, Miles.
Tony told a story about when Ricky came to our apartment for his 30th birthday party and gave him a pair of 2 Hoots boxers as a gift 😆.
this is the kind of event that reminds me of who I am, what I love and why Austin is my DNA.

In my element.
Yesterday was the celebration of life of Doug Cugini, the owner of The Hole in the Wall till 1998 - the 90s were our heyday there.
Standing there watching some of my friends and faves from those days - The Leroi Brothers, Loose Diamonds, Beaver Nelson, Walter Tragert - moments of memories filling my mind - it was hard not to stop tears from welling up.
I was there when the tornado came through and w head to move away from the window
I was there when Don Henley showed up and sang Don Henley must die on stage with Mojo Nixon
I was there when that guy stole Miles’ from fastball’s guitar from stage and we ran out the door and someone caught him
If it weren’t for Beaver Nelson - Tony wouldn’t have moved here and Fastball wouldn’t exist and neither would my kids
Fastball then known as Magneto got on stage here the night of Tony’s and my wedding
This stage is where the A&R guy, invited by watched Fastball play, signed them and the rest is history
Many wild shenanigans happened here and a lot of incredible music.
It was so good to be there yesterday

I love Valentine’s Day! 💗
today I had my client Valentine‘s coffee with me event at and it pretty much exemplified what I love about it all, I feel filled with love, and I feel loved by all my sweet people. Most of them didn’t know each other and so it was fun to introduce and a couple hadn’t seen each other in a long time, including me! I got to meet a newborn baby, see another kid so grown-up I haven’t seen since she was little, and it just so happens that most of the people had used who also was there so that was fun!
Also happy and proud to support fully local vegan business, Dear Diary is just the best.
My cup is filled! And not just with Matcha. 🍵

💛💜💚 What I personally love about this listing of mine is that it’s 4 minutes from - which if you haven’t been...well, let’s make a date!
But It’s also close to SO many other shopping places, restaurants, big employers and easy access to 183 for getting all over.
AND it’s only $250,000 - amazing - it’s a condo but like a townhome, 3 units per building plus a great pool.
It’s bright & airy and fresh, updated very cutely, and it’s the only one in this community that has the dreamy sunroom that feels like a greenhouse. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs along with a full bath, half bath down. The enclosed back yard is great for your little pet or for lounging and taking in the sun when we’re past the Ice Age - and a 2 car garage to boot!

FAQ I don’t talk about my sitch that much on this page so I’ve been getting a bunch of qs since sharing my bald pic
1. I have metastatic breast cancer aka stage 4, that means cancer spread from its original spot to other places. For me it’s bone.
2. This is what people die from. There’s not enough research. There’s not a cure.
3. Yes. People can live quite a while with this now thanks to science and new drugs released & approved on the reg.
4. I was diagnosed with stage 4 in May 2022, 12 years after my original early stage breast cancer. (Wtf)
5. We will always be on treatment. In a major simplification, depending on the type of tumor, people start a certain drug till it stops working. Then start the next one. And so it goes.
6. I was on a treatment for 2.5 yrs that worked so well, I tolerated well with minimal side effects…till April when I had progression in my pelvic bone. It was painful too. I had to stop yoga. My best friend.
7. I started a new treatment in June that I’m on now. Called Enhertu This has more *typical* side effects. I have infusions every 3 weeks
8. Enhertu is a weird drug. People have wide variations of the side effects. From terrible to minimal. I think I’m probably in the middle
9. About the hair. This also varies. Some lose none. Some lose all. Some thin out a lot. That’s me. Too thin for public consumption. I tried w/super short. Shaving the sides but nothing felt ok to be out & about. So scarves it is. This week I decided to shave it all off & see how I feel. Seems I won’t lose it all, for some it grows back
10. I still work full time and it’s 100% manageable. That’s a fear of mine. That people will think I’m unable to show up as my usual kick ass self. Turns out that I am. I also have more support from my Compass colleagues than is even imaginable if there was a gap of need. I love working and I need to work.
11. My goal/dream is to visit Mexico 🇲🇽 a couple times a year at least as it’s the place I feel happiest, it’s healing to me.
12. I do have a GoFundMe that helps with the supporting holistic things & treatments that help my healing, my joy, and how I tolerate the drugs. Just ask if you want.
