Originally from the East Coast, Katherine studied photography and lighting design at Bennington College in Vermont before becoming a licensed realtor with RE/MAX in Delaware. Previously, she spent four years working in Community Relations at MBNA, a credit card bank, where the phrase “Think of Yourself as a Customer” was painted above every doorway in their offices. Taking this philosophy to heart
, Katherine is devoted to conducting business with the highest integrity. She believes a trusting relationship begins with listening to and respecting a client’s wants and needs. Katherine also understands that big changes in life can come unexpectedly. Whether downsizing, new to Austin, or looking for a fresh start, her goal is not to simply to sell a house, but to compassionately and unbiasedly connect clients with the perfect house or buyer at the right price. Since moving to Austin in 2000, Katherine has been committed to giving back to the community. She is on the Board of the Texas Book Festival and KIPP Austin Public Schools, and is a mentor to an inner city student through the Seedling Foundation. For the past decade, she has been, and continues to be, Executive Director of the Wright Family Foundation’s Austin office. In her free time, Katherine enjoys cooking, camping, hiking, and snowboarding with her family. She has also been fortunate to travel all over the world, forming a love and appreciation for different cultures. Her last trip was to Central Asia where she studied textiles and pottery of the Silk Road.
