The City of Austin is preparing for the 2026 Annual Fireworks Display, and community support helps make this event possible. The celebration will begin at 6 PM on Friday, July 3, behind Austin Middle/High School. The evening will include free musical entertainment, food, games, and activity vendors, with fireworks beginning at 10 PM.

ENERGIZE AUSTIN | The City of Austin celebrated the grand reopening of TAP Automotive with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, June 4, at the business located at 737 US-31 in Austin.

The event marked a new chapter for TAP Automotive, which is now operating under new ownership with a renewed vision while continuing to serve the Austin community from the same location.

The public is also invited to the TAP Automotive Grand Re-Opening event from 1 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, June 6, at 737 US-31 in Austin. The family-friendly event will include free food, raffles, games, and a chance to dunk the new owner in the dunk tank.

ENERGIZE AUSTIN | Austin community members came together once again for the Robbie Henson Memorial 5K, honoring Robbie’s legacy through a morning rooted in remembrance, support, and giving back.

The Robbie Henson Memorial 5K helps carry Robbie’s legacy forward by supporting local track and cross-country athletes. Through the foundation, students in need have received running shoes, uniforms, and other essentials that help them participate, compete, and feel supported.

Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and community supporters, the foundation has already provided more than $4,000 in running shoes to young athletes.

This year’s event marked the largest turnout in the run’s history, showing just how deeply Robbie’s legacy continues to impact Austin and the people who knew and loved him.

This is community. This is Austin. And this is what giving back looks like.

AUSTIN EVENTS | Coffee, conversation, and community connection made for a great morning in Austin. ☕

Thank you to everyone who came out to Austin Community Park for Coffee & Conversation on Wednesday. It was a simple, meaningful time to visit with neighbors, enjoy good company, and strengthen the connections that make our community feel like home. We appreciate everyone who helped make it a success.

The next Coffee & Conversation will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 3. We hope to see you there.

This Saturday at 1 PM, let's celebrate the season together with the City of Austin Christmas Parade & Open House! To get in the spirit, enjoy this short video recap from last year’s 2024 celebration — and then join us in person this weekend.

The parade will kick off on West Frontage Road inside the Industrial Park and wrap up at the Jennings Township Volunteer Fire Department west of City Hall, where everyone’s invited to the Open House. We’ll have refreshments, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and plenty of holiday cheer. Bring your family, invite your neighbors, and join us for one of Austin’s favorite traditions!
