I tweeted the President! Hopefully he listens. Iran has sentenced this musician to 74 lashes for not wearing religious headgear in public. Easily a death sentence. I’m not a political type, so this isn’t partisan, but it’s important to know what’s going on. The “peace deal” we were going to sign was in part the US giving Iran $300 Billion to not build a weapon they were already not going to build. The previous leader was anti nuclear. So we spent $80 Billion to wage war, that probably cost the American people a similar amount in inflated Gas costs. Meanwhile we are defunding basic human services like Education. That our laws mandate. The Texas state capitol, where I live in Austin, doesn’t have the funds to keep its schools open. Our children and education should be our #1, unless we don’t think the future is important anymore. This is how Idiocracy stops becoming satire and becomes a documentary. President Donald J. Trump

It's out. After a couple years of writing, rewriting, doubting it, and writing it again — my novel LEDGER OF LIBERTY is live on Amazon today.

It's historical fiction about Benjamin Franklin in the years just after the Revolution, when he's old enough to see that the real dangers to a free republic aren't the ones the Constitution was built to stop. The whole book grew out of one question: what would the Founders have done differently if they'd had everything behavioral science has figured out in the last hundred years?

Putting something you made over years in front of people is terrifying and wonderful in about equal measure. If you read it and it lands, an honest Amazon review is the single biggest favor you can do me right now — it's the thing that actually helps a new book get found.

Gulam Yongdeoksa temple, located in Seongryunsan mountain（聖輪山 ) Established During Silla ~844 AD. Also called “Guram Temple” because there is a large cave behind the temple. The tale is handed down that a dragon of long life resided in the cave. From the context of the story it sounds like it was the time of the historical Buddha. A girl with a father on his death bed from sickness sought the dragons long life blessing. The dragon at first refused as it would mean he would shorten his life but finally agreed to grant her wish. At that moment, a hunter appeared and killed the dragon with his arrow. The girl prayed there for the dragon to return and heal her father for three days, without drinking the water, and she fainted close to death. The Buddha heard her wishes and came to restore her and heal her father. It is said that the spring water flowing on both sides of this dragon cave has healing powers, and even today, many people visit to make their wishes. We drank the water and rang the bell where the dragon held a wish fulfilling jewel. The white stone buddha in the cave was carved in 1700’s, and is seated on a dragon. Stone standing Buddha in the shrine room was dated to 844 AD and is surrounded by statues of ~90 mahasiddhas on the wall behind.
