This just occurred at the Allie Beth Allman office on Tracy Street in Dallas.
Around noon yesterday, Tuesday, a white male in his early 50s, well-dressed in suit and suspenders, came to our front desk asking to speak with an agent about listing his house. He went by the name of “Lieutenant Colonel” John Norwood. Our agent at the front desk offered assistance but he said he only would work with a female Realtor. He was referred to a team member to meet and discuss the listing. The suspect originally asked to meet at an off-site location, but our agent convinced him to meet at the office. An appointment was set for 6:45pm at our office.
The agent thought it was wise to have her husband (also an agent) attend the meeting. The man exhibited odd behavior from the beginning and asked to make private phone calls in our conference room on three occasions. The agents stepped out each time. After they stepped out the third time, our agent heard the man going through her purse. The agents confronted him and he became belligerent. He then ran out of the building. 20 minutes later he came back to get his car. Our agents wrote down his license plate, later determined to be stolen. He got away with credit cards and cash from the purse.
Please be on the lookout for someone matching this description and contact the police if you encounter him.
