A new neighborhood Italian spot just landed in Hyde Park.

Panciuto is officially open, the latest project from Mo Pittle, the founder behind Jewboy Burgers and Jewboy Sliders. Pronounced pan-CHEW-toe, Italian for pot-bellied, this Italian-American restaurant is all about hearty, homestyle classics, taking over the former Wok ‘N Express space.

The menu leans into comfort food done right, with focaccia pizza squares, chicken parm alla vodka, baked ziti bolognese, shrimp scampi, hoagies, and even a 14-layer vegetarian lasagna, with every entree under $26. The space keeps a bit of Hyde Park nostalgia alive while adding a black-and-white checkered floor, local art, and plenty of old-school neighborhood energy.

Austin just claimed the top spot again, and honestly, we’re not surprised.

For the third year in a row, Austin has been named the number one boomtown in the country according to LendingTree’s annual ranking, which measures growth across people and housing, jobs and earnings, and business activity. Raleigh, North Carolina landed at number two, followed by Seattle at number three, but Austin pulled ahead with the highest housing-unit growth in the entire ranking, along with the biggest jump in new business applications.

Austin is still the place where people are moving, building, working, and starting something new, and the numbers back it up!

Austin’s wellness scene is about to level up!

Canyon Ranch Austin opens October 15 in Spicewood, just 45 minutes from downtown, and it’s bringing the biggest spa in Texas with 37 treatment rooms alongside Eastern therapies, whirlpools, steam rooms, and more.

The 600 acre property includes 141 guest rooms, a canopy lap pool, kayaking and paddleboarding, hiking trails, and a full fitness barn. On the food side, chef Val M. Cantú, known for earning Two Michelin Stars at Californios in San Francisco, will lead the resort’s dining.

There’s also a residential community on site with homes starting at $3.5 million, each with its own plunge pool and cold plunge.
