After years of planning and construction, the Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension is scheduled to open to traffic this Friday, June 12, at approximately 10:00 AM.

This long-awaited project extends Vanderbilt Beach Road east from Collier Boulevard to 16th Street NE and represents one of the largest transportation projects undertaken by Collier County. The goal is to provide an additional east-west corridor, help improve traffic flow, and enhance access for residents and emergency services in this growing area of Collier County.

Whether you view this as a welcome transportation improvement, a sign of continued growth, or a little bit of both, there’s no doubt this roadway will have a lasting impact on how people move throughout Eastern Collier County.
