ATTENTION HALLANDALE BEACH REALTORS:

Hallandale Beach is home to several hundred realtors. I met with a couple last night. Realtors rely on commissions rather than a set salary. Under the leadership of the Department of Justice's Attorney General Merrick Garland, as of August 2024, at the detriment of realtors and first time homebuyers, these are the changes you should be aware of.

I will be communicating with the local realtors associations to help Hallandale Beach realtors navigate through the upcoming changes coming up in August 2024.

Biden to hike payments for good-credit homebuyers to subsidize high-risk mortgages

Homebuyers with good credit scores will soon encounter a costly surprise: a new federal rule forcing them to pay higher mortgage rates and fees to subsidize people with riskier credit ratings who are also in the market to buy houses.

If your roof is leaking or is damaged due to Hurricane Ian (including those in Broward whose homes were hit by tornadoes), the Army Corps of Engineers will install commercial grade blue tarps on your roof. This is free. Our tax dollars pay for this.

The purpose of Operation Blue Roof is to provide homeowners and permanently occupied rental properties in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced sheeting to cover their damaged roofs until arrangements can be made for permanent repairs. This is a free service to homeowners. Operation Blue Roof protects property, reduces temporary housing costs, and allows residents to remain in their homes.
