I’m very grateful to see another closing come together. 🏡🇺🇸

It was truly an honor helping a veteran purchase this home using a VA loan. As many people in real estate know, VA financing can sometimes come with additional hurdles, but it’s an incredible program and resource for those who have served our country.

This deal had its fair share of twists and turns, but through strong communication, careful planning, and structuring the contract the right way from the beginning, we were able to keep everything moving forward and ultimately get this veteran into his new home.

As a small thank-you for their service, I also provided a home warranty - just a small gesture of appreciation for someone who has sacrificed so much for our country.

What made this one especially meaningful was the friendship built throughout the process with both him and his significant other. Moments like these are why I love what I do, and I’m excited to see what they do with their new home.

It hit me this week that I’ve been moving nonstop without really taking it all in.

Over the last 12 weeks I’ve been working full time, participating in a capstone program, helping oversee HOA capital projects, flipping a rental to get it market ready, and keeping up with my CE credits for real estate. During that same stretch, I sold another home, and this week our capstone group wrapped things up by presenting our work to the Bloomfield CBLT (the town’s leadership team). Somehow, in the middle of all of it, I was also able to get two more homes under contract for clients this past weekend.

I’m sharing this out of gratitude, because sometimes you don’t realize how far you’ve come until you pause and look back. I’m thankful for the people who supported me, and for the big guy upstairs for guiding me through every step.

Grateful for every step.

I’ll never forget my 10th birthday. My parents surprised me by taking me to Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou. I was being an ungrateful little kid, wanting something simple like Friendly’s. Instead, my dad told me to give the place a try. I ordered the blackened prime rib, and it was one of the best things I had ever tasted in my life.

Big Mamou became a regular spot for me. Every visit, Wayne greeted you with kindness, warmth, and the same love he put into every dish. His cooking and his presence created memories that have stayed with me for over twenty years.

Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou will always be one of my favorite restaurants. I hope he’s spicing up heaven. He was a good man. God rest his soul, and my prayers are with his family ❤️🪽
