7 Brew won the bid and just made a HUGE move into Arizona.

If you saw my last update about the closed Salad and Go locations, we finally have a much clearer picture of what could be coming next.

7 Brew won the bankruptcy auction for 73 former Salad and Go locations, outbidding Dutch Bros with an offer of more than $143 million.

And 41 of those locations are in Arizona — including 35 in the Phoenix metro area.

What surprised me most? 7 Brew currently has only two open locations in Arizona, both in Tucson, with Queen Creek coming soon.

But don’t mistake their small Arizona presence for a small company. 😂☕️

7 Brew has grown to hundreds of locations nationwide and is known for its fast drive-thru experience, highly customizable coffee, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, shakes and flavored sodas.

And yes, the West Valley is included. 👀 Locations in Avondale, Glendale, Surprise, Tolleson, Peoria and west Phoenix are part of the deal.

⚠️ One important detail: the deal still needs bankruptcy court approval, with a hearing scheduled for September 21, so these aren’t officially 7 Brew locations just yet.

🚧 BUCKEYE DRIVERS: Major changes are underway at I-10 & Jackrabbit Trail.

Construction on the I-10/Jackrabbit Trail interchange reconstruction began in August 2026, and Phase 1 is expected to take approximately two years.

The project includes:

🚗 Widening Jackrabbit Trail to 3 lanes in each direction from McDowell Rd to just south of I-10
🌉 Replacing the existing I-10 bridges over Jackrabbit Trail
🚦 New traffic signals
🛣️ Wider ramps with additional turn lanes
⚠️ Future lane, ramp and roadway closures during construction

ADOT says the project will eventually require approximately 45-day ramp closures and a 20-day closure of Jackrabbit Trail, with advance notice provided before those closures occur.

Phase 2 is currently anticipated to begin in 2028, extending the Jackrabbit Trail widening south toward Van Buren Street.

For those who live in Buckeye, Verrado, Goodyear or commute along I-10, this is one project worth keeping an eye on.

Short term? Construction headaches. 😬
Long term? The goal is increased capacity and improved traffic flow as the West Valley continues to grow.

Because if it affects where we live, we should know about it.

I grew up in Arizona… so how did I NOT know about Hobo Joe?! 😂🌵

I’ve driven through Buckeye more times than I can count, but this time I actually stopped and explored Historic Downtown Buckeye — and I’m so glad I did.

From Hobo Joe and the old buildings along Monroe Avenue to The Heritage, Sheep Camp, and pieces of Buckeye’s history, it was such a cool reminder that there’s so much more to this city than all the new development we see today.

Buckeye is growing FAST, but I love that you can still find pieces of the Arizona that came before the new homes, shopping centers, and master-planned communities.

And of course… I’m a Realtor. 🏡😂 So after showing you a little of Buckeye’s past, I had to show you a home that’s currently for sale here too.

PLOT TWIST in the Salad and Go saga… 👀

First, Salad and Go announced it was closing all of its locations and filing for bankruptcy. 💔

Then the headlines came:

☕ Dutch Bros is buying the locations.

Except… not so fast.

Dutch Bros has a $105 MILLION deal on the table, but 7 Brew has entered the picture too, and the fate of these former Salad and Go locations is still being worked out through the bankruptcy process.

A potential auction could happen August 31, but that may not settle every location—meaning this story could continue into October.

And I know it’s “just salad,” but I’m still convinced some of us would’ve happily paid another $1–$2 to keep our affordable drive-thru salads. 😂🥗

The hardest part, though, is knowing how quickly employees reportedly found themselves out of work. 💔

So… Dutch Bros or 7 Brew? ☕👇

Something BIG is being planned for South Goodyear!

UPDATE: The project previously known as King Ranch and later Rio 1900 was officially renamed Solstice Foothills by Harvard Investments in May 2026. Same project, new name.

Meet Rio 1900 — a proposed master-planned community encompassing approximately 1,940 acres just north of Estrella and along the Gila River. 👀

Plans contemplate approximately 5,700 homes, but this is much more than another neighborhood.

Rio 1900 is planned to include a mix of residential areas, commercial development, civic uses, parks, trails, open space and even an area designated for a potential resort. 🌵✨

So what exactly is a master-planned community?

Basically, instead of building one subdivision at a time, a large area is planned as one connected community — with homes, roads, parks, trails, businesses and other amenities designed to work together as the area develops over many years.

And that’s important here because Rio 1900 is a long-term project. Goodyear City Council approved major rezoning and General Plan changes in January 2026, but individual portions will still need additional planning and approvals before they’re developed.

So no, you can’t go pick out your Rio 1900 house this weekend. 😂

But this is definitely one I’ll be keeping my eye on as we learn more about future neighborhoods, builders, commercial development and timelines.
