I didn't include the two new construction which are $1,000,000+ In general people who have lived in Shirley and in Ayer could not afford to buy in their towns any longer. The old Ayer prices can now be found west of Gardner. Shirley's average sold price is $680,000 for 2153 sq ft home at $330 per sq ft. The ratio of sold price to assessed value is 125%.
