“It’s been a couple of years since completion but I thought I’d send some pics of our cabin interior. We shiplapped 99% of the walls and ceilings. The only areas with no shiplap are the tiled shower, bathroom ceiling and kitchen backsplash. We did prime the knots with Zinsser BIN prior to painting but only sprayed just enough paint to cover lightly and keep it rustic. Also the walls and roof rafters were spray foamed so the shiplap went right on the studs, rafters and ceiling joists in the bedroom, closet and wc. I hate working with heavy drywall, the dust while installing and sanding and as a husband and wife install team we couldn’t attempt the vaulted ceiling…so shiplap was far easier and cheaper than me hiring drywallers. We are very pleased with the results!”
