For many children, back-to-school season brings excitement and a fresh start.
But for others, even basic hygiene items like soap, shampoo, deodorant, and a toothbrush aren’t guaranteed.
A clean start matters. When children feel clean and confident, they’re better able to focus on learning, participate in class, and start the year with dignity.
Throughout July, Baltimore Hunger Project is collecting hygiene items that will be distributed to students in our partner schools before the first day of school.
These are everyday essentials that many of us take for granted, but they can make a meaningful difference for a child.
Every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn
