Transforming dilapidated and vacant buildings of our City into new living and retail spaces that fuel economic development and opportunity for business owners is among our highest priorities. It’s for this reason that I was so excited to formally launch the transformation of five vacant buildings, in the area known as “Howard Row” in the 400 block of North Howard Street into five new retail spaces and 21 new apartments. Located in the Bromo Arts District, this 50,000 square feet of new development in close proximity to light rail, cafes and restaurants, several arts and entertainment venues and the University of Maryland Medical Center will do much to further revitalize this important corridor of our West side.
