Baltimore City child care providers: Funding is available to help expand infant and toddler care capacity.

Through the Infant and Toddler Child Care Capacity Building Program, eligible providers can receive support for facility improvements, equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies needed to create new licensed child care slots.

Last week, Johns Hopkins School of Education and NEXUS hosted “Keeping Our Students Out of Harm’s Way,” a convening focused on young people’s experiences with public transportation in Baltimore.

The event brought together leaders and advocates from transportation, public education, academia, and community organizations to discuss student experiences with transit, mobility justice, and opportunities to improve transportation for young people.

It was a great conversation and an important opportunity for Christian, a member of The Fund's Student Transit Advocacy Cohort (STAC), to bring a student voice to the table and contribute to the conversation around the future of transportation in Baltimore.
