This property (and sellers) saw it ALL!! The ups, downs, last minute changes, back outs, delays, and how much of a BULL I can be in this job šŸ˜‚šŸ‘Š from getting the property under contract within days originally, to going back on the market in the midst of the market shift, they really felt every bit of what real estate can look like behind closed doors. Iā€™ve known Sarah and Aaron for the better part of a decade and theyā€™ve become far more than just clients over the many years.. from chats about distance running to our girls sharing the same name (itā€™s ok the spelling is slightly differentšŸ˜…) I absolutely adore this sweet family! This one is truly the end of an era!! I met my client OVER 10 years ago when they were looking to flip some properties in Old Town. They got a steal on this place (literallyā€¦ $59,900 šŸ¤Æ) did a ton of work to it and have been renting it out successfully for the better part of a decade. It doesnā€™t get much cooler than having a client remember you 10 years later and call again to sell the place they bought from you- plus they have a bunch of properties all over the state of Maine (Bristol land for those who pay attention šŸ˜…) and we will have some gorgeous waterfront properties hitting the market next spring (weā€™re talking over a million šŸ¤©) Iā€™m beyond thankful for these clients reaching back out- between my unique name and something I did right 10 years ago, whatever it is, Iā€™ll take it! šŸ’ŖšŸ„³

One thing I donā€™t think people appreciate about our job is the amount of signs we lose on a regular basisā€¦ Luke gave up on my Abbott St listing in Old Town and couldnā€™t quite hang, and he just disappeared completely from 34 6th St, along with my directional arrow. Hopefully theyā€™re enjoying a new home and at least getting some marketing out there šŸ„“šŸ˜† 2 Old Town closings coming right up, along with another duplex in Old Town hitting the market in the next week or two.. stay tuned šŸ‘€

A little bit of what Iā€™ve been up to over the last few days šŸ„³

Congratulations to my sellers of this sweet land in Bristolā€¦ from record speed of going under contract (after multiple offers) to a quick cash closing, we couldnā€™t have asked for anymore more šŸ™Œ

And after on and off home searching for the last 6ish months, Iā€™m SO pumped to get my amazing first time homebuyers under contract with this incredibly solid home. You know when buyers dad gives his approval at the walk through itā€™s full steam ahead šŸ„¹šŸ‘Š

The market has been a little weird but real estate is still moving forwardā€¦ with plenty of closings on the horizon and several past clients resurfacing to look at homes... weā€™ve all felt the shift but I can assure you itā€™s still a VERY strong market. If youā€™ve been curious to look at that house thatā€™s been listed for the last 60+ days (or 10.. or 345) but not quite sure youā€™re ready to do something, letā€™s just go check it out! Youā€™d be surprised how often those exact moments are the ones that land you into your perfect next home, and have I mentioned the times of negotiations are back?! šŸ’Ŗ thatā€™s what weā€™re here for (amongst 100 other things šŸ šŸ¤)

What an incredible end to the week!! FIFTY years the seller has lovingly maintained this home on Maple St, and when my buyer walked inside a few months ago we all (including her parents and myself) took a huge breath of fresh air and knew it was the one! We couldnā€™t have had a more heartfelt closing and could tell the seller was so happy to see my buyer and her 3 young children inherit this treasure. Congratulations on closing day, Taylor. May we all be so lucky to live in our homes for the next 50 years šŸ„¹

Thank you to Samantha Davis - Treworgy and Baldacci for adding to the warmth at the closing table this morning and attention to detail, and Sue Roberts - Broker - Realty of Maine for going the extra mile and chasing down signatures and racing keys over first thing this morning, there is never a dull moment in real estate!
