Wondering if now is the right time to buy? 🏠
As of today, there are 7,902 properties on the market in Maine. That is the highest it has been since 2019!

The median sale price statewide is currently $427,000, up from $420,000 this time last year. A very stable 1.67% change.

The problem holding buyers back is the interest rate. Hovering around 6.7%, a lot of buyers are waiting for that to come down.

I don’t know what the rates are going to do, and it might make sense for some buyers to hold off for now. But there are other things to consider than the interest rate.

Lower rates tend to drive more buyers into the market, that competition can lead to increased prices.

Is now the right time to buy or should you wait? Basically, there isn’t an easy answer. It’s highly personal! And depends on many factors.

However, now IS the right time to reach out to a real estate expert to discuss the best options for you.
