Volunteering is truly my passion ❤️

This month at our Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS , I had the honor of speaking about one of my favorite things — the Maine Association of REALTORS® Foundation!

What is the Foundation? It’s the giving arm of MAR that awards grants to nonprofits across Maine to support housing and shelter-related needs. These funds help expand, create, and maintain safe, suitable housing opportunities — including heating assistance — for individuals and families with low, very low, or no income.

The Foundation offers competitive grants that organizations can apply for, and matching grants — which is what I was excited to share this month! Each local association fundraises, and the Foundation matches those funds nearly 1:1.

I am so proud to announce that, with matching funds, the Greater Bangor Association was able to give just over $43,000 to 3 different non-profits in 2025!

REALTORS® truly care about our communities, and I absolutely LOVE being a part of this work.
