Booneshine will be open today from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. ** If you are looking to make a disaster relief donation or volunteer, please visit www.boonechamber.com **. Cool story: our sales team is making deliveries in Raleigh today, and several of our customers are sending back supplies for the high country. This is amazing!

Although recovery efforts have ramped up, many members of the Avery County community are still without power, water, service, WiFi and access to main roads due to Hurricane Helene’s destruction.

We have teamed up with Mountain Grounds (located in Tynecastle), providing food, beverages, lunches and other essentials. Mountain Grounds is currently the closest kitchen to Newland, therefore we have been prepping over 300 sandwiches every day to send out to Newland First Baptist Church supporting the NC nonprofit, Feeding Avery Families. Many of you have reached out to use wondering how you can help. If you would like to help us cover costs, please purchase and online gift certificate (linked in our bio, ‘eGift Card Supporting Avery County’) and send it to 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗻𝗰@𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺. All donations will be used to feeding and providing resources to our community. Anything helps!

If you can safely get to Mountain Grounds to volunteer/grab food/charging stations, please stop by. If you can safely get to Newland First Baptist Church to donate/volunteer please stop by. We urge individuals to avoid unnecessary travel to the disaster-stricken regions.

Hey y’all, first we want to say thank you to all who reached out and checked on us. We were fortunate to only receive a few feet of flooding, but our hearts are with everyone who can’t say the same.

We will be OPEN tomorrow from 12-10 pm with hot food, clean water, free wifi, and of course, cold beer! If you are in need of power, clean water, clean bathrooms, or just a dry place to hangout, please come see us tomorrow. Trivia, Thrasher Thursday, and Cider on the Mountain are all cancelled tomorrow/this weekend. The She Talks to Fish book signing is rescheduled for Oct. 18th and we are currently brainstorming ways to use this event to support Helene relief- more updates to come.

**We will continue to repost any resources and donation sites on our stories, but please send any helpful information our way so we can share with the community. If you are looking to make a donation or volunteer, please visit boonechamber.com or appvoices.org/Helene-relief.**

🍓Strawberry Galette 🍓This pocket of hand mixed and hand shaped flaky pastry is filled with fresh strawberries lightly sweetented on top of a layer of strawberry compote. It's brushed with an egg wash and sprinkled with tubinado sugar. They're roughly 4", a great size for sharing, but get one for each because you'll want the whole thing ;)

“Vee-own-yay”
Pairings: Roasted Turkey, Veggie Wok, Brie Cheese
Every last Friday in April is recognized as International Viognier Day, so please join us in celebrating today! Originating from the Northern region of France, Viognier is a white wine varietal typically found in White Rhone Blends, but may also be enjoyed as a single varietal wine due to its unique characteristics. Light in body and dry on the palate, this crisp white will greet you with notes of peach, apricot, and honey- comparable to Pinot Gris! To retain structural balance and highlight its floral aromas, our 2021 vintage was fermented in stainless steel tanks thus preserving its delicate flavors and natural acidity. Viognier’s versatility and refreshing qualities make it a popular choice for any occasion, such as jamming out to live music by Tracey Brewer & Tyler Hodges today 2-5 PM! Come on out and grab a glass! (or a bottle 😉)
