One of the High Country’s most beloved trails is back open. 🥾🌲
If you've been missing the Profile Trail at Grandfather Mountain, it has officially reopened after months of repairs following the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
The lower riverside portion of the trail is still closed while additional work continues, but hikers can once again access the mountain using the upper alternate route. It's a challenging 3.6-mile hike with nearly 1,800 feet of elevation gain, but the reward is access to some of the most iconic views in North Carolina.
