Located in the heart of picturesque Bar Harbor, Acadia Memories cottage is the perfect haven for your family's vacation enjoyment. In the early morning...before the kids are awake... enjoy a private vacation adventure. From the cottage, stroll down West Street toward the Bar Harbor town pier. Above a light mist on the water you can see lobstermen preparing their boats for the

day's work. The town is quiet and the streets are empty. Follow the Shore Path to the east...enjoy the view of off-shore islands, smell the sea air and feel the warmth of a rising sun. Or, continue your stroll in a different direction through Agamont Park toward the Village Green. Note the quaint and picturesque shops that line historic Bar Harbor's Main Street. Browse the shop windows...too early for shops to be open...but pop into the corner bookstore and pick up a morning paper. Through the Village Green wind your way down Rodick Street. Smell the enticing aroma of the Morning Glory Bakery. Order coffee and a just-baked pastry...but don't enjoy them indoors...instead walk around the corner past the Art Deco theatre back to Agamont Park. Seated on a park bench, enjoy your coffee and pastry along with a spectacular view of the colorful sail and lobster boats that pepper the blue waters of the harbor...with Bar Island and perhaps a cruise ship in the distance. In the late afternoon--back at the cottage after your hike or bike ride in Acadia National Park, whale watching trip, or kayak excursion--while you start dinner, send the kids to the grocery store for any needed ingredients (a 2 min. walk). Of course if you're a bit tired from the day's activities why not order pizza from down the street? The kids can walk to pick it up (5 min. roundtrip) while you enjoy a relaxing shower. The advantages of in-town accommodations are just one of the reasons you will enjoy staying at Acadia Memories vacation cottage in Bar Harbor. We named the cottage to remind you that the great times you and your family have on vacation this year will be your "acadia memories" to enjoy for a lifetime! Your hosts,
Jann and Austin

About Acadia Memories Vacation Cottage

The cottage was built at the turn of the 19th century--a fisherman's home located close to Bar Harbor's waterfront. Sometime after The Great Fire of 1947, the cottage was moved a few blocks west to Bridge Street. The cottage was renovated and refurbished in the spring of 2006, and opened that summer for vacation rentals. We think you will agree it has all the modern conveniences expected of contemporary living while maintaining the charm and character of its 100+ years. The front porch is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, read a newspaper...or simply enjoy the fragrance of roses in the front yard. The side deck, with gas grill, is a great place to host an evening cookout. Acadia Memories vacation cottage comfortably accommodates 6 guests and it has plenty of off-street parking. The cottage is inspected and licensed for weekly vacation rentals by the Town of Bar Harbor (License # VR2R25-31). Acadia National Park turns 100 this year. To mark the occasion, TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones took a tour of one of the nation’s most visited parks, taking in spectacular views along the north Atlantic seaboard and trying a tandem bike – with mixed results! (By TODAY with Camping World)

In the spring of 2015 we made a number of small improvements and larger updates to our cottage. Most noticeable, the queen and twin bedrooms have been newly painted (including the floors) and a new large screen TV has replaced the older family room TV.

Returning guests may notice other minor changes throughout the cottage, while a number of other changes were "behind-the-scenes" improvements.
