Lehman Franklin, revises and expands the state sales tax exemption on manufactured homes, which now helps reduce costs for buyers who convert these homes to real property and supporting greater housing affordability across Georgia.

We had an absolutely fabulous board retreat today, and a huge thank-you to Frank Kenny for leading such an inspiring and engaging session.

Our Board came ready to think boldly, ask hard questions, and focus on the future. We took a clear look at what’s working, where we need to grow, and how we can better serve our businesses and the Lamar County community.

Frank’s energy and insight sparked great conversation and left our Board motivated and aligned. We’re excited to be developing a three-year strategic plan that will guide the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce and help take our work to the next level.

Thank you to our Board of Directors for your time, engagement, and commitment. The road ahead is bright, and we’re ready to get to work.

This year at Barnesville Buggy Days, you can make a difference for animals in need while enjoying some of the best BBQ around.

Lamar County Animal Services is partnering with High On The Hog BBQ & More on September 20th–21st at the Buggy Days Food Court.

For every sandwich, plate, or side you order, 15% of all sales will be donated back to help shelter pets. These funds directly support spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, preventative care, and supplies for the animals who rely on us.

So while you’re satisfying your BBQ craving with slow-cooked pork, pulled chicken, Brunswick stew, or homemade mac and cheese, you’ll also be helping provide lifesaving care for animals in our community.
