📍 NEW PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT – 33 Franklin St. | Barnwell, SC

We’re excited to share that ASHAR Enterprises has officially closed on 33 Franklin, a ~1,400 sq ft historic building located just off the Circle in Barnwell.

This project follows the momentum of our Burr Street redevelopment (currently occupied by The People-Sentinel Red Hill Grill Lofts on Burr), and reflects our continued commitment to bringing Barnwell’s historic core back to life — one building at a time. 33 Franklin has long stood as part of the city’s character, and we’re looking forward to restoring and reactivating it as a meaningful piece of the towns landscape.

ASHAR remains focused on revitalizing small-town commercial spaces with purpose — preserving history while creating opportunity. We’re proud to be investing locally, and we’re just getting started.

This past weekend, Ashar Enterprises celebrated the ribbon cutting of our fully restored mixed-use development, bringing history to life in the heart of Barnwell, SC. This project beautifully merges historic preservation with modern innovation.

📍 22 Burr Street:
• A thoughtfully restored property combining charm and functionality.
• Ground floor: The People-Sentinel, continuing its legacy as Barnwell’s trusted news source.
• Upper floor: Lofts on Burr Boutique Hotel, a luxurious 5-bedroom boutique hotel, offering an intimate and elegant stay. Each room has been carefully designed to provide modern comfort while honoring the building’s historic character. It’s the only boutique hotel in Barnwell County—a truly unique destination for visitors seeking something special.

📍 16 Burr Street:
• Once a historic pharmacy, this building revealed an incredible surprise during renovations—an early 1900s Coca-Cola sign, now lovingly restored and on display.
• Transformed into Red Hill Grill, this space offers a delightful dining experience, pairing exceptional food with a setting steeped in local history and charm.

A Big Thank You to Sergeant Greene and the City of Barnwell Police Department!

ASHAR Enterprises would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Sargent Greene for his vigilance during one of his nightly property checks earlier this week. While walking around the Circle, Sergeant Greene noticed that a door to one of our buildings was left open and had dispatch call. He waited until a key holder was able to arrive, ensuring the safety of the property. Thankfully, it was just an oversight, and the door had been accidentally left unlocked.

We are truly grateful to the City of Barnwell Police Department for their proactive approach in keeping our community safe. In the photo, pictured is ASHAR Enterprises’ Daniel Alexander, who leads our development and property team, presenting Sergeant Greene with a gift certificate for lunch at Red Hill Grill, our newest tenant.
