I am excited (and admittedly a little nervous!) to share that I am officially registered for the first of four courses required to earn my CCIM designation: CI 101 – Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate in Chicago this July.

The CCIM designation is widely recognized as the gold standard in commercial real estate education, focused on advanced financial analysis, investment strategy, market analysis, and ethical representation. After completing this intensive four-day course, I’ll take the required exam before moving on to the next three courses and ultimately the comprehensive final exam.

For me, this journey is about much more than a designation. It reflects my commitment to providing my clients with the highest level of knowledge, strategy, and fiduciary representation possible. Continuous learning allows me to better serve investors, business owners, and property owners as they navigate complex real estate decisions.

Growth happens outside our comfort zones, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

This past week I was invited to attend an incredible event where the talented author, Carrie Kerpen, discussed her new book The Whisper Way: The Secret Formula for Women Entrepreneurs to Scale and Sell for Life-Changing Money. It was a privilege to be in the room with so many successful and supportive business women. Such great information and insights from Carrie was shared. The energy was infectious and so powerful. At lunch we received a postcard with a photo of a herd of elephants from Ann Freeman and her team at Merrill Lynch. It talked about how the herd protects fragile new life. When the elephants give birth the herd of female elephants surround the mother to protect her and her baby as she brings her baby into the world. On the back side it talks about having to go through the herd that is protecting mother and child against vulnerability and celebrating with joyful trumpeting. This is more than instinct. This is Belief. This is Balance. This is Vision. I love days in the city. Connecting, networking, sharing ideas and thoughts on how to strategize and strengthen relationships in community and clients. We enjoyed a wonderful luncheon at Sofi’s Restaurant on Dearborn. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it for a delicious meal and wonderful hosts! I ended the day with my husband and friends, with a night at the United Center watching the Blackhawk’s celebrate a victory for their last game of the season! Life is short. Enjoy every moment with others who lift you up.

It’s been a week filled with client and partner meetings, CRE coaching, and incredible event supporting domestic violence victims and ending with collaboration over coffee with a great partner and lunch with another amazing business partner discussing collaboration together! How lucky am I to be able to work together with such wonderful people?! Collaborate without ego.
